A garden of a city park, originally as a royal palace garden located next to the Saski Palace. It was opened and made available to residents in 1727. It is the first public park in Warsaw and one of the oldest parks in Poland. The garden was founded by King August II the Strong. It presented in the French style. From the 18th century "Promenade Concerts" took place here - performances of the Janczary court orchestra of an open nature. They were suspended for the Polish People's Republic period, and reestablished again in 1990. There used to be a Mineral Water Institute here. In the nineteenth century, the arrangement of the park was transformed into English. In 1870, the Summer Theater was built in Warsaw. In the 20th century, during the German occupation, all architectural elements in the garden were destroyed. Only the stand survived. After World War II, the park was rebuilt. The most important current elements of the Saxon Garden: - 21 baroque sculptures of muses and virtues, - The Great Fountain - A rotunda-shaped water collection, - A sundial, - The Blue Palace, - A monument to Maria Konopnicka.
