The Heavens of Copernicus is one of the most modern and original planetariums in Europe thanks to its equipment, quality of shows and its construction. Sky shows, film screenings, lectures and meetings take place here. Located right next to the Vistula, the building resembles a huge erratic boulder from the outside. Its interior conceals a projection room with a spherical screen with a 16-meter diameter. It weighs about 3 tons and is suspended over the audience on huge chains. The room is equipped with 137 comfortable chairs arranged in a way that allows you to look freely at the sky. The shows are displayed from four digital projectors and a Megastar IIA star projector displaying over a dozen million light points - stars. The Heavens of Copernicus planetarium has its own production studio, in which shows are displayed on the screen in the shape of a half-sphere.
