Address: ul. Nowogrodzka 49 , 00-695 Warszawa
Musical theater in Warsaw, located in the city center, at ul. Nowogrodzka 49. Former Warsaw Operetta. The facility performs stagings of world musical classics. Works by such composers - such as Andrew Lloyd Webber and Claude-Michel Schönberg - have been released on stage for their own non-replica production. Among the producers of the performances were musical celebrities, among others Dorota Kołodyńska and Boris Kudlička. Roman Polański and Jerzy Jeszke collaborated with the theater. The Roma Music Theater implements the policy of popularizing the musical as a genre, and the success of this mission is evidenced by the growing popularity of subsequent titles staged on its stage (e.g. the musical Phantom of the Opera was watched by almost 700,000 viewers). For 15 years of the musical scene, the theater was visited by 3 million viewers. Director Wojciech Kępczyński presented the Polish audience three of the most popular musicals in history - Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables - but also prepared the premieres of domestic productions, including family musical Akademia mr. Kleks (2007).
