The National Philharmonic is a representative institution of musical life in Poland, known all over the world. The philharmonic hall was built at the beginning of the 20th century. It was supposed to resemble the Paris Opera from the assumptions of Karol Kozłowski's project, but it differed a lot from the original. After the war, it was rebuilt in a completely different style. There are two halls in the philharmonic hall (one in a thousand, the other in four hundred people). Numerous symphony concerts, recitals and chamber evenings take place here. The International Competition named after F. Chopin and the International Festival of Contemporary Music - Warsaw Autumn. Both festivals have worldwide fame.
