Historic landscape park in Warsaw, entered in the register of monuments from December 13, 1973 under the number 875. The 58-hectare park was established in the Skaryszew municipal pasture (this place was previously referred to as Saska Kępa) in 1905–1922 by Franciszek Szanior. It was created as Skaryszewski Park, keeping the name of the city pasture on which it was built. The name comes from the city of Skaryszew located nearby, in the village of Kamion. In the interwar period, he was named after Ignacy Jan Paderewski - a Polish pianist, composer, politician - one of the founders of the independent Polish state. After the war, for political reasons, Paderewski's name was removed. They were restored in 1980. Colloquially, it is referred to as the Warsaw dialect - Skaryszak or also Padereszczak. For several years, the Park on the island of Washington OWS from the side of the boulevard of Stanisław August on the anniversary of the battle for Olszynka Grochowska is undergoing its reconstruction. Several hundred people from Poland and several European countries (mainly from Belarus, Russia and Lithuania) take part in it.
