The Warsaw ZOO was established in 1928. Initially it contained about 500 animals, currently there are almost 5,000 here - representatives of 500 species. There are those that we will not find in any of the Polish gardens: anteater, hyacinth macaws, young cheetahs. The zoo covers an area of 40 ha of a beautiful park with beautiful vegetation. We will find here the only Free Flight Hall in Poland. You can watch colorful Asian birds flying, listen to their soothing singing and the noise of the waterfall. The oldest building in the Warsaw ZOO is "Chata pod Strzechą" - built in 1928, it served as a stable for zebras and camels. 50 reptile species are presented in Herpetarium, among others venomous snakes, basilisks, various turtles, dragonflies and of course crocodiles.
