Built in 1989, a monumental monument honoring the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising located on the eastern side of Krasińskich Square in Warsaw. The construction of the monument was preceded by a collection of money and raw materials needed for its implementation. The monument is made up of figures of insurgents. Some of them enter the canal (referring to the evacuation of the Old Town), and some run out from under the huge pylon. Currently, the background of the monument is built in 1999, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland. According to the designer's intention, Professor Wincenty Kućma, the monument is one of the elements of the triptych, which also includes: the Gdańsk monument to the defenders of the Polish Post Office and the monument to those killed for their homeland in Częstochowa.
